Ceramics – Wheel Throwing (Grades 9–12)

Ceramics – Wheel Throwing is an immersive visual arts course open to students in Grades 9–12 who are interested in exploring personal expression through the dynamic and hands-on medium of clay.

Students will learn a variety of forming techniques with an emphasis on wheel throwing, focusing on the creation of functional pottery forms. Instruction also includes surface design techniques such as stamping, carving, slip decoration, wax resist, and glaze application.

This course supports both beginners and returning students, with individualized instruction and guidance to help each artist develop skills, confidence, and creative voice in the ceramics studio.
