5th to 6th Math Honors Summer Bridge Program

Rising Grade 6 – Honors Prep | By Recommendation Only

This Math Summer Bridge course is designed for students preparing to enter Honors Grade 6 Math. Using the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum as its foundation, the course reinforces core concepts, mathematical language, and problem-solving strategies essential for success in an honors-level setting.

Students will engage in rich tasks that emphasize conceptual understanding, reasoning, and mathematical discourse, while building confidence with key grade-level standards. The course supports a strong transition into middle school math by strengthening fluency, persistence, and independence.

Schedule:

• Days: Monday–Friday
• Time: 8:30–10:30 a.m.
• One session, multiple weeks
• Dates: Tuesday, June 9–Wednesday, July 1 (LJCDS is closed on June 19, July 2 and 3)

**Enrollment is limited to students who have been recommended by the Middle School Math Department. Families will receive a registration code directly from the school to complete enrollment.
