Kodely: Build a rocket and launch it

BUILD IT. LAUNCH IT.

Are you an engineer who loves building things that launch, zoom, and soar? Rocket Engineering is hands-on physics in action — you’ll design fins, nose cones, and parachutes, test thrust with stomp and air-pressure rockets, and record how far and how high they fly. Every week you iterate a new prototype to take home, and the final day is a family launch showcase where you track altitude and flight path like a real flight team.

LED BY  Kodely Academy. Kodely provides a trained Studio lead plus all materials, devices and take-home kits; individual instructor names are assigned closer to the start date.

Program highlights

  • Three rocket types: straw, stomp and air-pressure builds you keep.
  • Aerodynamics from scratch: fin shape, nose weight and balance for stable flight.
  • Parachute engineering: design for soft landings and timed descents.
  • A flight log: measure distance and altitude, then improve week to week.
  • Launch crew roles: countdown, data and recovery practiced as a team.
  • Students leave with: a set of rockets, a flight log and a family launch day with certificates.
