Let's tap together!

Grades 1–4 students, have you ever wanted to try tap dancing, or simply learn a new dance style? This is the class for you. Come have fun while learning the basics of tap, building your skills, and creating fun choreography together. At the end of the session, we’ll put it all together for a final showcase performed for friends and families. No experience needed, and students without tap shoes may borrow a pair.

Program highlights

• Weekly studio time: students tap in the Middle School Dance Studio each week, building skills session by session.
• Tap fundamentals: shuffles, kick-ball-changes, and rhythmic combinations taught from the very beginning.
• Games that build coordination: playful activities that develop balance, rhythm, and confidence.
• A culminating showcase: the session builds toward a final performance for families and loved ones, followed by a celebration.
• No equipment barrier: tap shoes are available to borrow for students who need them.
