Make Numbers Make Sense

Are you a 5th–6th grade student who sometimes finds math concepts frustrating or confusing? In Number Play, you’ll use games, patterns, and hands-on challenges designed to strengthen number sense and develop flexible problem-solving skills. You’ll get plenty of chances to slow down, try different strategies, and build confidence in your mathematical thinking. Whether you want to become a more confident math student or just want more practice with math in a fun and engaging way, this program is for you.

Join Ms. Gilliam, MS English Faculty for an after-school program that walks students through estimating, comparing, and solving problems using integers, fractions, and decimals.

Program Highlights

• Eight after-school sessions: Meeting now on Wednesdays in a relaxed, low-pressure setting.
• Individual math support: Students get targeted feedback and help with the concepts and strategies they find most challenging.
• Build stronger foundations: Strengthen number sense, mental math, pattern recognition, and flexible problem-solving.
