Camp Torreys (Grades 1–4)

Camp Torreys is LJCDS’s signature summer day camp experience for students entering Grades 1–4. Each themed week is packed with hands-on activities, creative projects, outdoor games, team-building challenges, and classic summer fun designed to keep campers engaged, active, and inspired.

Led by our dedicated LJCDS faculty and staff, Camp Torreys provides a safe, welcoming environment where students build confidence, strengthen friendships, and explore new interests. Every day offers a thoughtful balance of creativity, movement, collaboration, and structured play.

Camp Torreys is now offered as a cohesive full-day program with one simple weekly registration. Campers may enroll in full-day sessions, with select half-day athletic and specialty academic options are available during certain weeks. Optional Extended Day is offered for families who need additional after-camp coverage.

What to Bring:

• A morning and afternoon snack
• A reusable water bottle (Labeled with name)
• Sunscreen applied before arrival
• Closed toed shoes

Lunch is provided daily by Sage Dining Services on campus.

2. June 15–18: Imagineers Lab: Camp Create (No camp June 19)
3. June 22–26:  Disney Dreamers: Enchanted Ever After
4. June 29–July 1:  Retro Rewind: Decades of Fun (Closed July 2–3)
5. July 6–10: Torrey Games: The Ultimate Camp Olympics
6. July 13–17: Wild About Science: Discovery in Action
7. July 20–24: Media Magic Makers: Summer Premiere
8. July 27–31: Summer Spectacular: The Grand Finale Week

Arrival & Dismissal

Drop-off and pickup take place in the Genesee Avenue parking lot at 9490 Genesee Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037.

Camp staff will greet campers at arrival and escort them to their designated areas.

Gate Hours:
• 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Extended Day (Optional, Fee-Based)

Available Monday–Thursday from 3:00–4:30 p.m.
Friday from 3:00–4:00 p.m.
$15 per hour (billed monthly)

Extended Day pickup takes place on the Lower School playground via the Genesee parking lot

Camp Torreys is available as a full-day program (8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) or as a half-day AM or PM session each week. Half-day options provide flexibility for families pairing Camp Torreys with morning specialty or athletic programs.
