Torrey Treks: Off-Campus Adventure Week June 8-12. Full Day! School’s out for the summer! It’s time to roam wild with special full-day field trips. This week offers students in Grades 1–8 options to get out and explore. From a fully supervised week of daily excursions to some of Southern California’s most mentionable destinations, or select a week in an interactive adventure camps, parkour, or gymnastics gym. Campers build independence, strengthen friendships, and experience hands-on learning beyond the classroom while enjoying a safe and structured environment supervised by LJCDS staff. Torrey Treks is structured as an all-inclusive experience. Fee covers daily transportation, entry fees to each destination, and full supervision throughout the day. This premium week reflects the coordination and logistics required for off-campus programming while providing families with a seamless, thoughtfully organized adventure experience. 7:30 a.m. -3:00 p.m. For Grades K-1: Gymnastics Camp A week of Gymnastics at Gyminny Kids in UTC. For Grades 1-4 Daily Field Trip Trek Locations: San Diego Zoo LEGOLAND Science Cube Rock & Jump Trampoline Park New Children's Museum Field trip destinations are subject to change due to availability, weather, or other logistical needs. For Grades 1-6: Parkour A week of Parkour at APEX Rogue Gym in San Diego. For Grades 6-8: Positive Adventure Camp Kayaking through the Bay Surf Lessons at Mission beach Rock Climbing at Vertical Hold Snorkeling in the Bay Hiking Mt. Laguna or Torrey Pines What to Bring: A reusable water bottle A morning snack and packed lunch (nut-aware) Comfortable walking shoes (closed-toe required) Sunscreen applied before arrival A hat for sun protection A small lightweight bag to carry personal items All campers should dress appropriately for a full day of walking and outdoor activity. Enrollment is limited to maintain appropriate supervision ratios.
