NewECC Summer of Wonder: Session 1: From Page to Play!Early Childhood Center (ECC) Camp Summer 26 CatalogSession 1: From Page to Play! (2.5 weeks) This program is only available to students enrolled at LJCDS in fall 2026. Where stories jump off the page and into play! Tiny Torrey and Jr. Kindergarten students are invited to explore children’s literature by turning stories into action, by creating puppets, acting out tales, singing, dancing, and making art inspired by the books they love. Every week invites imagination, movement, and joyful expression. June 15-July 1 (Closed June 19, July 2 & 3) Morning summer sessions run from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and are offered in two-week increments. A mid-morning snack is provided. Children must be fully potty-trained to participate. What to Bring: A reusable water bottle Sunscreen and please apply before arrival Close toed shoes A change of clothes Arrival & Dismissal The entrance to the Early Childhood Center is located in the Eastgate Mall parking lot, closest to Genesee Avenue. Families should park and escort students to and from the ECC courtyard. Parents/guardians are required to sign their child in and out each day with an ECC staff member. NewECC Summer of Wonder: Session II: Messy Masterpieces!Early Childhood Center (ECC) Camp Summer 26 CatalogSession 2: Messy Masterpieces! (2 weeks) This program is only available to students enrolled at LJCDS in fall 2026. Squish, stir, and splash into summer! Tiny Torrey and Jr. Kindergarten students are invited into a joyful, sensory-rich experience where learning comes to life through hands-on exploration and play. Children will squish clay, splash in water, swirl shaving cream, mix oobleck and flubber, and take part in simple cooking experiences that involve stirring, pouring, kneading, and tasting. Through art, sensory science, water play, and cooking, children use all five senses to explore texture, transformation, creativity, and collaboration. meaningful learning.
