About Kindergarten Summer Course Catalog

Ready, Set, Go, Kindergarten and Camp Torreys Kindergarten

This program is only available to students enrolled at LJCDS in fall 2025.

Students must bring a morning and afternoon snack, a non-perishable lunch (no nuts, please), and a reusable water bottle every day.

Mornings

  • Drop-off occurs in the parking lot off of Eastgate Mall Road. A kindergarten staff member is in the parking lot and walks your child to their classroom.
  • Pickup is on the kindergarten playground, accessible from the parking lot off of Eastgate Mall Road. 

Afternoons

  • Drop-off and pickup take place in the kindergarten playground. 
  • Eastgate Mall Gate Hours: 
    • Open: 7:30–8:30 a.m. 
    • Open: 11:30–12:30 p.m. 

Extended Day (fee-based) 

3–4:30 p.m. (Monday–Thursday) 

3–4 p.m. (Friday) 

No Extended Day June 16–20

June 16-20 (Closed June 19)

June 24–28 

July 7–11

July 14–18 

July 22–25

July 28-Aug 01 (No Extended Day on Aug 1)  

$15 per hour (billed at the end of each month) 

Extended Day pickup takes place on the Lower School playground using the Genesee parking lot at 9490 Genesee Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037.

This program is only available to students enrolled at LJCDS in fall 2025. Students explore ocean-related topics while learning about the daily routines and skills used in the upcoming school year. They explore what can be seen and done during a day at the beach and what they may find on a deep dive into the big blue. This session allows students to stretch their imagination, use critical-thinking skills, meet new peers, and begin their love for learning. Combine the kindergarten morning sessions (Endangered Animals, Under the Sea and Jurassic Camp) with Camp Torreys in the afternoon for a full day of fun with this package.
